Renowned Malayalam filmmaker Amal Neerad has officially announced Bachelor Party Deux, the sequel to his 2012 black comedy action film Bachelor Party. The announcement was made through his Instagram page, where the director shared the title of the upcoming film.
Along with the post, Amal Neerad also explained the meaning behind the title. “Deux” means “two” in French, while “D’eux” translates to “of them” or “about them.” The director shared this note while introducing the project on social media. .
While the original had a modest box-office run, it later gained cult status. The sequel will star Naslen and Soubin Shahir and is being produced by Amal Neerad Productions, Fahadh Faasil and Friends, and Anwar Rasheed Entertainment. The music for the film will be handled by Christo Xavier. This comes as a change from Amal Neerad’s recent projects, where Sushin Shyam had been composing the music. It remains unclear whether the new film will continue the original story.
The announcement came as a surprise for many fans. Mammootty fans had been eagerly waiting for Bilal, the sequel to Amal Neerad’s debut film Big B. The director had earlier said he was working on the story after his last outing with Mammootty in Bheeshma Parvam.
