With Vishu being the major festival in Kerala, and summer vacation in Kerala and across South India, it’s a great time for Malayalam movie releases — and every year one or more films turn out to be blockbusters. It’s common for families to go watch movies after the Vishu feast every year. Now, with even OTT platforms available, there are more entertainment options around, but it’s still kind of a ritual for Malayali families worldwide to watch movies on Vishu afternoon.
