Law & Order (2026)

Law and Order is an upcoming Malayalam police thriller directed by Ranjith and written by Udaykrishna, scheduled to release on September 18, 2026. Prakash Varma, who made a strong impression as the antagonist in Thudarum, stars as DYSP Balagopal, a decorated and strict police officer, alongside a cast that includes Abhirami, Joy Mathew, Suresh Krishna and Rinosh George. The biggest attraction is Mammootty making a special appearance as Karikkamuri Shanmughan, reprising his iconic character from the 2004 film Black more than two decades later. The return of Shanmughan adds an interesting nostalgic connection to what looks like a fresh-generation police story.
