Mayan: Chapter 1 is Jayasurya’s latest ambitious project, coming after a packed lineup that includes Aadu 3: One Last Ride – Part 1, Kathanar: The Wild Sorcerer and Operation Tral. Directed by Jithin K Jose, who made an impressive directorial debut with Mammootty’s Kalamkaval, the film is shaping up as a dark mystery thriller. Jayasurya plays a key role in the film, with the story and other details being kept largely under wraps. The project reunites several members of the Kalamkaval team and is produced by Rajeev Govindan under Magic Moon Productions. With its intriguing title and the director’s promising debut behind it, Mayan: Chapter 1 is expected to arrive in 2027.
