Tovino Thomas’s next film Munpe will be directed by Saiju Sreedharan, the editor of films such as Mayaanadhi and Maheshinte Prathikaaram. He made his directorial debut with Footage, starring Manju Warrier.
Munpe will be produced by Panormal Studios, who recently ventured into Malayalam cinema after acquiring the entire rights to Drishyam 3. The film has music by Rex Vijayan.
From the initial impressions, Munpe appears to be a time travel film, though more details about the story are yet to be revealed.
Tovino’s last release Pallichattambi was a box office failure and received heavy criticism. Munpe will be an important film for Tovino as he looks to make a strong comeback.
