About the Movie
Vaazha 2: Biopic of a Billion Bros is the sequel to the Malayalam film Vaazha, which released in 2024 and went on to become a strong performer at the Kerala box office. The second installment is currently expected to arrive in theatres on April 2, 2026, during the Vishu–summer holiday season, alongside other big releases such as Aadu 3, Patriot, and Drishyam 3.
While there are some changes in the cast this time, the story will once again revolve around Hashir and his gang, continuing the fun and youthful tone that made the first film popular among younger audiences.
The film is directed by Savin S A and produced by well-known filmmaker Vipin Das. Much like the first part, Vaazha 2 features an ensemble cast that includes several social media influencers and Instagram personalities who already have a strong following online. Their popularity on digital platforms is expected to help the film gain attention during promotions and release.
The first film also had a memorable cameo appearance by director Basil Joseph, which became a talking point among audiences. This time, another well-known filmmaker, Alphonse Puthren, is reportedly part of the cast. Alphonse Puthren, who was also associated with last year’s successful film Sarvam Maya, appearing in the film has further increased curiosity around the project.
With the success of the first film and the growing popularity of its characters, Vaazha 2 is expected to attract considerable interest when it arrives in theatres during the busy Vishu release season.
